The Sizzling Steak Plate Set

The SteakStones Sizzling Steak Plate Set is perfect for a generous sized steak, think a 14oz Rib-Eye and side plate of chunky chips, or perhaps a mixed meat, fish and vegetable medley on the stone with a lovely side salad. Alternatively why not try some sizzling skewers of King Prawns and Scallops on the stone with some lovely char grilled vegetables on the side. SteakStones make for a simply great dinner party with each guest having their own unique experience and with very little hassle in preparation.

How to Serve

Simply heat the stone (on the hob or stove, under the grill, in the oven or even on your barbecue), add a selection of sauces or other condiments and your favourite sides and present your chosen cut of meat, fish or vegetables on the sizzling stone for you and your guests to enjoy cooking every bite exactly as you like.

Instructions for Use

The Lava Stone used in all SteakStones products is guaranteed to be the best available product from which to enjoy hot stone cooking. The stones require heating to between 280-350° Celsius (approx 540-660° Fahrenheit) for optimal use and you will soon find the perfect temperature for you to enjoy your steak, exactly as you like. Heating your SteakStones can be achieved in the oven in 40mins, under the grill in 30-40mins, on the hob or stove – either gas or electric – for 20-30mins or even on the barbecue. To check whether the stone is hot enough following heating, place a teaspoon of water carefully on the centre of the stone. If the stone is fully heated this will instantly sizzle and visibly evaporate after 10 seconds. If this does not happen you can continue heating for a further 5 minutes and repeat the sizzle test. Your SteakStones Lava Stones cannot be overheated using standard household ovens, but we do not recommend exposure to direct heat i.e. gas or electric hobs, for longer than 40mins. We recommend a pair of our top quality oven gloves are purchased with this product to handle the heated stones.

Cleaning Instructions

We recommend the Lava Stone is cleaned by hand by submerging in water for 5 mins to let any remaining heat dissipate and then simply wipe clean the surface of the stone. Scourers can be used as required. The Bamboo Board should just we wiped clean with a cloth and not submerged in water or left damp. The Stainless Steel Tray and Ceramic Plate are dishwasher safe.
